Does God "plan" include tragedies? He knows the plans He has for us. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." His plans are not to harm us.
When people go through difficult situations, sometimes they talk about it being God's plan for them. What if the difficult situations, the tragedies of our lives are not God's plan for us, which I believe to be true. What if the difficulties, the tragedies are on us because of the 'fall of man' and His plan is to get us through these tragedies triumphantly, stronger, in one piece - not the tragedies themselves. What if it's His plan to take the tragedy and bring good out of it? Romans 8:28 (MSG) "That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."
